Episode 20: How Jay Calnan is Giving Back and Building Relationships with Team IMPACT
In our 20th episode of the Build Better podcast, Anastasia talks with Jay Calnan, CEO of J. Calnan and Associates, about Team IMPACT, a nonprofit whose mission is to connect and cultivate meaningful relationships between college athletic teams and children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses.
Calnan shares how the nonprofit he started in 2011 has grown, now working with over 650 campuses in all 50 states. He also talks about how philanthropic work positively impacts an organization and its employees, and the importance of passion and networking when companies are looking for ways to give back.
As Chief Executive Officer of J. Calnan & Associates, Inc., Jay offers over twenty-five years of construction industry experience to his clientele. He is responsible for high-level relationships, strategic long-term planning, philanthropic initiatives as well as various other development opportunities for JC&A. Through his leadership and unequivocal commitment to client service, JC&A has enjoyed numerous repeat business relationships earning a strong reputation as one of New England’s leading construction management firms. Jay is a member of several industry-related associations including the Commercial Brokers Association, CoreNet Global, Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, National Association of Industrial & Office Properties and the International Interior Design Association. He also gives back to the community in positive ways and is a founding member of the 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Team IMPACT, whose mission is to connect and cultivate meaningful relationships between college athletic teams and children diagnosed with life-threatening diseases.
